About the Role

We are supporting a leading Coventry-based precision engineering manufacturer to recruit permanent CNC Miller Setters / Operators to join their backshift team. These are stable, long-term positions within a busy manufacturing environment, working on high-quality precision components using modern CNC milling equipment. Candidates will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring efficient production and maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines on backshift
  • Work from engineering drawings and tight tolerances
  • Carry out in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are met
  • Load, run, and make basic adjustments to programs where required
  • Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely
  • Support production output and quality targets

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter and/or Operator
  • Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Experience with Matsuura CNC machines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and quality focus
