About The Role
THE OPPORTUNITY
Working with us as a Finance Officer/Analyst, you have the opportunity to work with a diverse and prestigious client base across the UK, utilising your effective communication, administrative and organisational skills to support the finance function of our Company. On a daily basis, we expect you to showcase your skills and knowledge by:
- Pro-actively managing purchase ledgers and dealing with issues with insurers and staff;
- Ensuring the timely settlement of purchase invoices in line with payment deadlines;
- Maintaining an accurate audit trail of all postings;
- Ensuring all payments are made and recorded in line with relevant FCA regulations;
- Pro-actively managing company procedures including expenses and company credit cards;
- Using keen attention to detail to identify and raise any anomalies in accounts as soon as they arise;
- Continuing to develop professional skills and knowledge by observing tasks carried out by colleagues;
- Demonstrating strong commercial awareness by always acting in the best interest of the company;
- Organising the timely and accurate reconciliation of bank and supplier accounts;
- Demonstrating the highest standards of professional behaviour, with an understanding of the necessity to act lawfully within a regulatory environment;
- Working in an efficient and organised manner to manage personal workloads and meet deadlines;
- Keeping accurate client records and files at all times, including timely inputting of all relevant data into our bespoke system;
- Building good working relationships with colleagues, Client Directors, Account Executives and the wider Company team;
- Contributing to the achievement of team and business objectives, ensuring a high standard of client service;
- Maintaining a high-level understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and best practice through ongoing commitment to CPD.
Required Criteria
- Minimum of 4 years experience working in a similar role with a proven track record of working within a fast-paced professional services environment.
- IT proficient - Excellent Excel skills (Intermediate).
- Proactive attitude and Can-Do attitude.
- Able to manage the day-to-day and think ahead.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities dealing with confidential and sensitive information with tact, judgment, and discretion.
