Weymouth Museum is creating a new museum which will share the town\’s rich history with residents and visitors. While we wait for our new museum to be ready, we have opened a pop-up museum in Weymouth town centre, which provides a taster of some of our collections. As a registered charity, Weymouth Museum is seeking volunteers to help staff the Pop-Up Museum, greeting visitors, sharing Weymouth\’s stories, supporting events, and caring for the collections.

Role Description

This is a voluntary role with hours to suit you. We are looking for people who can spare at least a couple of hours a week. The pop-up museum is open from 10am to 2pm from Monday to Saturday, and is located in St Thomas Street in Weymouth. Volunteers will assist with day-to-day tasks such as setting up exhibits, assisting museum visitors, providing information about exhibits, supporting Weymouth Museum events, and coordinating with other staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the pop-up museum.
