About the Role

As a Residential Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding the estate, its residents and associated properties. You will manage access control, conduct patrols, monitor security systems and respond to incidents, emergencies and operational requirements across the estate. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires professionalism, discretion and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Estate Security Manager and collaborate with colleagues across the estate to ensure the highest standards of safety, security and service are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect the Principals, their family members, guests and estate assets.
  • Maintain the overall security integrity of the estate and associated properties.
  • Manage access control for visitors, contractors and deliveries.
  • Conduct regular security patrols by foot, vehicle and remote monitoring.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm and fire detection systems.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies and medical situations.
  • Manage intruder detection, intervention and trespass incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures, including evacuations and lockdowns.
  • Investigate, document and report incidents, accidents and near misses.
  • Support estate events and guest reception activities when required.
  • Liaise professionally with contractors, consultants and external security providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all estate policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues across the estate.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to maintaining exceptional standards across the estate.

Essential Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence (or higher).
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience in residential security or a similar security environment, or demonstrable transferable skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including criminal records and reference checks.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience operating CCTV and alarm systems.
  • First Aid Responder (FAR) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within private estates, luxury residential environments, hospitality or customer-facing security roles.
  • Experience in incident management and emergency response.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and best practice.
