We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Primary team of excellent teachers at Wey Valley College (WVC). The role is a permanent position for 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time. The successful candidate will have excellent support skills and good all-round knowledge of supporting the education of students and an understanding of special education, mainstream education and/or Pupil Referral Units. WVC is a 5-16 Alternative Provision school and we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to complement our Key Stage 1 & 2 curriculum.
The successful candidate will be:
- Passionate about inclusion and making sure all students gain an inspirational education.
- An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality support for all children.
- Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
- An excellent communicator, able to work inclusively with pupils, staff, parents, Management Committee and other stakeholders.
