We are currently looking for a highly motivated and analytical Financial Scheme Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will play a crucial part in our financial planning and analysis, helping to drive strategic decisions by providing key insights into our performance, with specific focus on schemes.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Financial Modeling: Build intermediate to advanced financial models from the ground up to support scenario and sensitivity analysis for various financial outcomes.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare accurate financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with our regional analysts.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze monthly actuals against budgets and forecasts. Develop a deep understanding of key drivers, such as volume, rate & mix and customer economics, to provide clear explanations for variances.
  • Contractual Analysis: Gain an understanding of contractual obligations with schemes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate current reporting processes. Demonstrate an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement process changes that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Scheme Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile scheme volumes to ensure precise invoicing of schemes and proper accrual of associated fees and incentives.
  • Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Leverage monthly financial results and performance data to forecast potential financial opportunities and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Ideally fully qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
  • A fundamental understanding of core financial concepts, including P&L and balance sheets and accrual accounting.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and manipulate large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn and grow within the finance sector.
