The European Fleet business is seeking a highly driven Billing Manager to lead and evolve our billing operations as we scale. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with strong financial acumen who enjoys bringing clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement to complex operational environments.

You’ll oversee the end‑to‑end billing and invoicing process, develop a small but mighty high‑performing billing team, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all activities. As billing manager, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our billing capabilities, streamlining processes, resolving nuanced billing questions, and partnering cross‑functionally with finance, operations, product and technology to support the business’s growth ambitions. We’re looking for a self‑starter who takes ownership, spots opportunities to improve and enjoys turning complexity into simple, scalable solutions.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead and manage day‑to‑day operations of the billing department, ensuring all invoicing and billing activities are executed accurately and promptly.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide training and guidance to billing specialists and team members.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Finance, Customer Service, Commercial, Credit, Account Management and Legal to ensure accurate customer data, resolve disputes and address complex billing concerns.
  • Verify the accuracy of billing data, pricing, discounts and terms against contracts and sales orders, resolving discrepancies before final invoicing.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure timely reconciliation of billing accounts with the general ledger and accounts receivable records.
  • Oversee the preparation, generation and distribution of all customer invoices, statements and bills via varying methods.
  • Develop, document and enforce consistent billing policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Tech and other departments on system upgrades, enhancements and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure the billing process adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of team members.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in billing, finance operations or revenue operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing complex billing and invoicing processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop an operational team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational scalability.
  • Experience resolving complex or nuanced billing scenarios with sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, capable of partnering effectively with Finance, Operations, Product and Technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complexity into clear outcomes for both internal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • High ownership mindset, comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability.
  • Experience with payments, fleet, fintech or regulated environments strongly preferred.
