This person is not a content writer in the traditional sense, though they must have a deep understanding of storytelling, brand voice, and audience empathy. Their job is to be the maestro of a content orchestra where the instruments are AI models, data pipelines, and human creativity.
What’s on offer?
- Highly competitive salary up to £50,000-£55,000 dependent on experience
- 37.5-hour week - Monday to Friday - no evenings
This person is responsible for defining our content strategy for a world where search is increasingly driven by AI overviews and generative search results. They will move beyond traditional SEO keywords and focus on ‘Generative Engine Optimisation’ (GEO). This means creating content that is comprehensive, fast-rich, and contextually relevant enough to be a top source for AI models. They will use AI to identify content gaps, analyse competitor strategies and predict emerging trends before they become mainstream.
Workflow Orchestration; They will design and manage the end-to-end content workflow, which is now a hybrid of human and AI tasks.
Prompt and Direct AI; They will be a master prompt engineer, directing AI models (like GPT-4 or similar) to generate outlines, first drafts, and variations of content across different formats (blog posts, social media updates, video scripts, email copy).
Augment Human Creativity; They will use AI as a research and ideation partner, freeing up human writers to focus on the high-level strategy, emotional resonance, and the unique insights that AI can’t replicate.
Ensure Brand Integrity; Using AI tools, they will enforce our brand's voice and tone consistently across all content, even at massive scale. They will be the final human editor, ensuring authenticity and fact-checking to maintain brand trust.
Dynamic Content Personalisation This is where content becomes a true driver of business value. The ‘AI Content Strategist’ will use AI to dynamically personalise content in real-time.
- Website Content; A visitor returning to our site will see a blog post tailored to their previous browsing history and expressed interests.
- Email Marketing; AI will select the most relevant content to include in an email, and even optimise the send time for each individual recipient.
- Cross-Channel Repurposing; A single long-form blog post will be automatically transformed into a series of short social media videos, an infographic, a podcast script, and a series of email snippets, all with consistent messaging and tone.
Experience you’ll bring
- Previous experience in SEO and content marketing, preferably in a B2B finance or technology organisation or agency.
- Hands-on proficiency with major SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz) for keyword research, backlink analysis, and technical audits.
- A thorough understanding of AI principles and technology, including prompt engineering, LLM and GEO.
- Experience with various Content Marketing Systems (CMS), including updating and optimising on-site content (WordPress).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data from platforms like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Culturally adept and comfortable working across a geographically diverse workforce.
- Confident communicator to both external and internal customers, with strong relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with little to moderate direction.
- Critical thinker and problem solver with good time management skills.
- Proactive team player who seeks to learn and share experiences with others.
- React in a calm and professional manner when faced with unexpected challenges.
- Ideally educated in marketing, communications, or a similar field.
- Experience with data visualisation platforms is a plus.
- Experience of working in multiple European countries and handling translations.
- Language skills (English plus one or more of the following languages: French, Dutch, German or Italian) both written and verbal would be highly desirable.
- Experience working with Google G Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other digital marketing tools.
