Wetherby School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 3 Class Teacher to join the team from January 2026. In this role, you will plan, prepare, and deliver an engaging and well-structured curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. You will create stimulating and supportive learning experiences, ensuring lessons are diverse, relevant, and appropriately differentiated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Plan, prepare and implement the agreed school curriculum to cater for the needs of all children within the assigned class and any other class taught.
- Provide well planned, engaging learning experiences and support for all learners and deliver a diverse, relevant and differentiated (where appropriate) curriculum for all children in the class.
- Observe and evaluate the progress of each child.
- Provide a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere that is conducive to the social and emotional needs of the children within the class.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies at all times and encourage positive practice in relation to general behaviour.
- Create an engaging, stimulating and relevant learning environment through displays and classroom organisation.
- Maintain cordial and informative relationships with parents.
- Work as part of a team with the teachers and assistants within the assigned year group and the rest of the school staff.
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification with a passion for education.
- Value and inspire every child to reach their full potential.
- Set ambitious yet realistic goals to support student success.
- Have a strong, up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum for your year group.
