ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Specialist Science Teacher to join our team, teaching across KS2 and KS3. This part‑time role (0.8 FTE, 4 days per week) starts September 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver engaging, enquiry‑based science lessons and practical experiments.
- Teach biology, chemistry, and physics tailored for preparatory pupils.
- Differentiating learning for mixed‑ability classes and providing strong classroom management and pastoral care.
- Track pupil progress and support assessment for learning.
- Lead or contribute to science clubs and extra‑curricular STEM activities.
- Ensure all practical work meets health & safety requirements.
- Support pupils’ transition from KS2 to KS3, working closely with colleagues to refine schemes of work.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Qualified teacher with experience teaching science across KS2 and KS3.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring pupils.
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
