Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to raising standards of attainment by preparing and teaching stimulating and energetic lessons of a high standard in accordance with pupils’ needs.
- Identify clear learning objectives and outcomes, building on prior attainment, with appropriate challenge.
- Take responsibility for, and promote, the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all pupils in your care.
- Be aware of and comply with child‑protection policies and report all concerns to an appropriate person.
- In line with school policy, mark, monitor, and assess pupils’ work and set targets for progress.
- Assess and record pupils’ progress, monitor strengths and weaknesses, inform planning and recognise achievement levels.

- Teaching qualification together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum in Key Stage 2.
- Able to use a range of teaching and learning strategies.
