We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the children, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children in the nursery
  • Plan menus in line with nutritional guidelines and children’s dietary requirements
  • Ensure food hygiene and kitchen safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Manage stock and ordering of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
  • Work collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure smooth mealtimes

Experience

  • Working as a chef, cook, or in a nursery/kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
  • Ability to plan and prepare meals for children of various ages
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for providing nutritious food
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
