Regional Service Manager – Midlands

Salary Range: Up to £60,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week + On-Call Support
About the Role
My client, a highly respected leader in the security and fire safety industry, is looking for an experienced Regional Service Manager to oversee operations across the Midlands region . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, driving service excellence, and ensuring the efficient delivery of security, fire, and life safety systems across a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service engineers across the Midlands. Ensure engineers are trained, motivated, and consistently delivering exceptional service standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day service operations, ensuring that all reactive, planned maintenance, and installation works are completed to the highest standards. Manage service levels and ensure all KPIs and SLAs are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service improvements or additional services.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of service works, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure that all service activities are carried out in full compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Manage the regional service budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and controlling costs without compromising quality. Produce regular reports for senior management.
- Implement and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, quality of service, and customer satisfaction. Continuously monitor market trends and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition.
- Provide escalation support for urgent service issues and participate in the on-call rota for emergency out-of-hours support when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Manager or Regional Manager within a technical field (preferably within security, fire, or life safety systems)
- Strong team management and leadership skills, with a track record of developing and motivating engineers
- Excellent understanding of service delivery, performance management, and customer relationship management
- Ability to manage budgets, costs, and resources efficiently
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., BS 5839, NSI, BAFE)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with both clients and internal teams
- Full UK driving licence
- IT literate with experience using service management software and MS Office suite
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Technical Certifications in security, fire, or life safety systems (e.g., City & Guilds, FIA, NSI accredited)
- Previous experience working with CCTV, access control, fire alarms, or intruder systems
- Experience in a similar multi-site management role, ideally in the Midlands
- Project management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APM) or experience managing large-scale projects
