An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join a busy and expanding service team, supporting contracts within the social housing sector. This role is heavily focused on planned maintenance and reactive works, ensuring life safety systems remain compliant and fully operational. You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of sites, dealing directly with clients and residents on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned servicing and reactive repairs on life safety systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
- Work across multiple systems including:
- Fire alarms (conventional & addressable)
- AOV systems
- Emergency lighting
- CCTV and access control
- Warden call systems
- Fire extinguishers
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems
- Good understanding of BS5839 standards
- Familiarity with both addressable and conventional systems
- FIA or equivalent training is beneficial
- Experience with additional security systems is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable using handheld devices/software for reporting
- Health & safety conscious approach
Package
- £32,000 – £40,000 basic salary
- OTE £50k–£60k+ (overtime, travel & call-out)
- Enhanced overtime rates (1.5x)
