We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating punch presses to produce high-quality sheet metal components, ensuring precision and safety at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment. You will be using an Amada Vipros King. This is a permanent, full-time role, 39 hours per week. Pay: £30,500 per annum + overtime available.
Duties:
- Set up and operate punch presses according to specifications and production schedules.
- Load and unload sheet metal materials, ensuring correct positioning for accurate punching.
- Monitor machine operation, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment, conducting minor maintenance or troubleshooting when required.
- Assist with grinding, welding, or assembly tasks as needed to support production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document production data accurately and report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
