We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a HGV Class 1 (C+E) truck to deliver general haulage nationally efficiently and safely across designated routes that can be straight trunk and a mixture of multi drop deliveries of general haulage. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving HGV Class 1 vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a HGV Class 1 truck in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Multi drops and straight trunk of general haulage to various sites, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Must have 2 years or more on HGV license.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability.
- No more than 6 points showing on licence.
- No IN10, DD, DR, and TT99 endorsements showing on licence.
Shift & Pay
- Mon starts 0600.
- Pay rates: £18ph plus £25 night-out allowance. Holidays accrued separately.
