LGV Mechanic – Sheffield – £38,500 + Overtime

We\’re looking for a skilled LGV Mechanic to join a permanent role within a busy waste management fleet. This position offers a salary of £38,500 per year (£18.34/hour) plus overtime opportunities.

The Role

• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs to DVSA standards
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance to keep vehicles roadworthy
• Accurately record all work using fleet maintenance software
• Support roadside breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and tidy workshop environment

What We\\\’re Looking For

• Experience in an LGV workshop
• Knowledge of DVSA compliance and Operator Licence requirements
• Strong diagnostic and IT skills
• Category C licence (essential) – CE licence desirable
• IRTEC Inspection Technician (or willing to qualify within 6 months)

Desirable

• Waste industry experience
• ADR regulations knowledge
• IOSH Working Safely
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostics
