LGV Mechanic

LGV Mechanic – Sheffield – £38,500 + Overtime We’re looking for a skilled LGV Mechanic to join a permanent role within a busy waste management fleet. This position offers a salary of £38,500 per year (£18.34/hour) plus overtime opportunities. The Role * Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs to DVSA standards * Undertake planned and reactive maintenance to keep vehicles roadworthy * Accurately record all work using fleet maintenance software * Support roadside breakdowns and minimise downtime * Maintain a safe, compliant, and tidy workshop environment What We’re Looking For * Experience in an LGV workshop * Knowledge of DVSA compliance and Operator Licence requirements * Strong diagnostic and IT skills * Category C licence (essential) – CE licence desirable * IRTEC Inspection Technician (or willing to qualify within 6 months) Desirable * Waste industry experience * ADR regulations knowledge * IOSH Working Safely * Familiarity with electronic diagnostics This is a great opportunity for a proactive mechanic who takes pride in keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road
