We’re working with a forward-thinking, carbon-neutral business that provides innovative waste management solutions across the UK. They’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager with a solid understanding of the waste industry to join their growing team, covering the Leeds area.
This is a great opportunity for a confident and driven salesperson with strong business development or field sales experience within, or directly linked to, the waste management sector. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a clear understanding of commercial waste processes, customer challenges, and industry standards. The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving growth in the commercial waste sector across Bradford and West Yorkshire. You’ll identify new opportunities, build long-term relationships with clients, and work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored waste management solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the commercial waste market
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and prospects
- Conducting market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities
- Preparing and presenting tailored commercial waste proposals
- Representing the business at networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets and contributing to overall business growth
About You
- Proven experience in business development, field sales, or account management
- Essential: a strong understanding of the waste management industry (commercial waste experience highly advantageous)
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Confident, self-motivated, and results-focused
- Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact
- Full UK driving licence required (company car provided)
