We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a HGV Class 1 (C+E) truck for straight trunk work and a couple of collections on the way back. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving HGV Class 1 vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.
Duties
- Safely operate a HGV Class 1 truck in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Straight trunk from Manchester Airport to Heathrow ensuring timely and accurate drop‑off.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Level D Trained Essential.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability.
- No more than 6 points showing on license.
- No IN10, DD, DR or TT endorsements showing on license.
Pay rates
- £17ph Days – Holidays accrued separately.
- £19ph Nights – Holidays accrued separately.
