Duties * Collect and load refuse from designated areas onto collection vehicles, ensuring all waste is safely secured. * Operate basic mechanical equipment used in waste collection, with training provided if necessary. * Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of collection vehicles and equipment. * Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials when required. * Ensure all collected waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations and company policies. * Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including the loading zone and vehicle interiors. * Assist in the organisation of collection routes to optimise efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
