Westwood Recruitment are recruiting for a General Building Operative for a long term contract at HMP Hewell.
The General Building Operative plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days as a weekend shift pattern is in place).
There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends.
What you will do: Collaborating with a dynamic team to perform general maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople on site.
Taking on various FM duties as directed by the team manager.
Maintaining high health and safety standards across the contract.
Contributing to local and business zero carbon initiatives, strategically working towards sustainability goals.
What you will bring: Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
Willingness to learn new skills.
