Job Title: Fireplace Installation Engineer Location: South Manchester/Stockport Patch Job Type: Permanent/Full-Time Salary: Up to £45,000 + Commission + Company Van Start Date: Immediate Start Our client, a well-established and highly regarded fireplace company based in South Manchester is expanding its team and looking for an experienced Fireplace Installation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who takes pride in their craftsmanship and values exceptional customer service. They specialise in the supply and installation of high-quality gas, electric, and solid fuel fireplaces. Our clients projects range from modern feature walls to traditional fireplaces, working with premium materials such as limestone, marble, and natural wood. We’re now looking for a dedicated engineer to join our clients growing team and help deliver outstanding results to both residential and commercial clients. The Role You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end installation of a wide range of fireplace systems. From site preparation and fireplace construction to appliance fitting and final commissioning, you’ll ensure each job is completed to the highest safety and quality standards. Duties include: * Installing gas, electric, and solid fuel fireplace systems * Building full fireplace surrounds in various materials * Ensuring all installations comply with current safety and regulatory standards * Providing excellent service and clear communication to clients * Liaising with the office and other team members to ensure timely project completion * Maintaining a clean, safe working environment at each site What We’re Offering * Competitive salary – Up to £45,000 per year, depending on experience * Performance-based commission – Rewarding your skills and efficiency * Fully expensed company van – For both work and travel between jobs * Stable, full-time hours – Monday to Friday (optional Saturday work available) * Supportive team culture – Be part of a close-knit, professional team * Immediate start available – We’re ready when you are What We’re Looking For * Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Gas Safe registered engineer * Strong background in gas and electric fire installations * Skilled in the construction of fireplace surrounds using materials such as limestone, marble, and timber * Full, clean UK driving licence * Good communication skills and a professional approach Desirable: * HETAS certification or experience with solid fuel appliances * Experience working in high-end domestic settings Why Join Us?
