My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer. This is a great opportunity for candidates based in the North West (covering Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington). As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will maintain and service a variety of fire and security systems across these regions. Full training will be provided, so prior experience with every system is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and fault-find on Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and Refuge Intercoms.
- Commission new systems after receiving training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing excellent customer support.
- Participate in the on-call rota (typically one week in seven).
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Company laptop and mobile phone provided.
Locations You'll Be Expected To Cover:
North West: Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington (Minimal long-distance travel involved)
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience in servicing Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and Refuge Intercoms is preferred but not essential.
- Training will be provided for specific systems.
- Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary up to £37,000 (depending on experience).
- Additional earnings through overtime, on-call duties, and call-outs.
- Competitive on-call standby rate.
- Paid travel time after 30 minutes each way.
- Time-and-a-half after 40 hours worked; double time on weekends.
- Company van (for both work and personal use) plus fuel card for business travel.
- Holiday entitlement up to 33 days, including bank holidays (increases with service).
