About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civils Site Manager with proven experience in land reclamation projects to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives on responsibility and enjoys leading teams to deliver high-quality civil engineering works safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining strong communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations on civil engineering and land reclamation projects.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate site teams to achieve programme targets and project objectives.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Monitor progress, manage resources, and ensure work is completed to required quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication with senior management and project stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, tenants, and members of the public when required.
- Ensure accurate site documentation and reporting.
- Support, coach, and mentor members of the site team to develop their skills and performance.
- Manage multiple priorities while working to deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a relevant construction discipline.
- Broad experience within the civil engineering/contracting sector.
- Experience managing land reclamation or similar large-scale civil engineering works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team to achieve results.
- Well organised, dedicated, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Honest, reliable, and of high integrity.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other common systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coaching and mentoring site personnel.
