Job Title: Site Manager – National Grid Projects Location: East Midlands, UK Start: Immediately | Ends: 7 Sept 2025 Hours: Mon–Fri | 08:00–16:00 Pay Rate: £320/day (Inside IR35) About the Role: Hiring for a Site Manager to join our client’s Technical Services team on a short-term assignment covering the Midlands. This is a great opportunity to work in a live substation environment, contributing to essential infrastructure work on NGED projects. About the Client: Our client is a leading UK facilities management and professional services company, delivering a wide range of essential services across infrastructure, engineering, and technical operations. With a strong presence nationwide, they support both public and private sector clients in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant environments. Roles & Responsibilities: – Manage and coordinate all on-site activities across multiple substation locations in the Midlands, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards. – Take full ownership of site safety, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with NGED guidelines, relevant legislation, and company procedures. – Control and monitor site access in line with NGED Substation Access Compliance requirements, ensuring only authorised personnel are permitted entry. – Be ready to provide hands-on support to field teams when necessary, applying your technical knowledge to assist in the delivery of works. – Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain clear communication lines, progress updates, and issue resolution. – Lead or support in the preparation and review of RAMS documentation, ensuring safe systems of work are in place. – Maintain accurate records of site activities, incidents, and inspections; report progress and escalate issues where appropriate. – Ensure the project remains on schedule and any risks to timeline, cost, or quality are identified and mitigated early.
