Are you an experienced Cleaning Supervisor looking for your next opportunity? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial client for a hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to lead a cleaning team within a professional corporate environment in York. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high cleaning standards and motivating a team. The role is offered on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising and supporting the on-site cleaning team
- Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
- Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining excellent standards throughout the building
- Allocating daily tasks and monitoring team performance
- Supporting the team with cleaning duties when required
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures and COSHH regulations are followed
- Reporting any maintenance issues or health & safety concerns
- Managing cleaning materials and stock levels
- Building positive relationships with the client and ensuring excellent service delivery
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader
- Commercial cleaning experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH procedures
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- A proactive, hands-on approach
