We are looking for a Technician/Bricklayer. As a technician/bricklayer you’ll be responsible for service delivery at any of their work locations. Working as part of a team under the guidance of a site supervisor, you’ll be working to agreed practices, standards and scopes of work. Safe, Effective and Ethical operational production is the core of their business and you will be assisting with delivery and flow of operations, limiting downtime, communicating with colleagues and supervisors and managing your own materials and equipment. We will provide training, uniform, equipment, PPE and support to assist you to do the best work possible. A construction background is desirable and skills such as bricklaying, plastering, rendering, joinery, painting and driving or ability to use plant machinery will be an advantage and you should highlight these when applying.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Works job sites to ensure standardisation and positive marketing of the company.
- Works to meet assigned hours and costs on projects.
- Flexible approach to work from conflicting schedules, urgent requirements, material shortages, change orders, leave, sickness and weather delays.
- Ensures all sites secure out of working hours.
- Attending monthly meetings to report on job progress, provide feedback and give input on company issues.
Requirements
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Continually able to manage an environment with hazards present: dust, noise, electricity, slips, trips and falls.
- Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat and kneel.
- Continually able to maintain a safe environment using procedures and practices and PPE where necessary.
- Able to operate a range of powered tools safely and effectively.
- Able to regularly perform site maintenance: sweep, vacuum, remove waste, clean.
- Able to safely lift items using body kinetics or equipment where necessary.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolds and working at height using access equipment.
