Vineyard and Winery Assistant

Salary: competitive salary commensurate with experience

We’re on the lookout for a reliable, hardworking person for an immediate start to help support us with year’s vintage for a role supporting both the vineyard and winery team. Over harvest, there will be longer than usual hours (you’ll be able take time off in lieu).

IN THE WINERY

•Harvest - Assisting winemaking team in all harvest duties - press cleaning / moving and loading fruit / fermentation checks / winery cleaning etc

•Cellar + Production Work - including barrel management / wine blending / bottling / disgorging / labelling

IN THE VINEYARD

• Winter and summer pruning

• Canopy work, including leaf stripping and fruit thinning

• Scouting for pests and disease throughout the growing season

• Harvest duties include: picking - ensuring quality parameters are met, loading and unloading, supporting winemaking processing

• General vineyard and site management throughout the year
