We are looking for someone who:

- Is able to demonstrate a range of strategies used to support emotional regulation
- Supervises and provides particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Uses strategies, under the supervision and guidance of the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals
- Is confident in covering full classes across school on an ad-hoc basis
- Can be responsible for the development and daily supervision of the After School Club
- Plans and organises a wide range of engaging activities to support the children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development whilst giving consideration to the diversity of our school community
- Supervises and supports children and staff with a variety of activities
- Works with the School Business Manager to ensure the club is adequately resourced (equipment and staff) to provide a stimulating environment for the children
- Problem solves to support leaders with addressing problems and/or emergencies, including those relating to safeguarding, in line with school policies and procedures
- Supports the cook with the preparing, serving, and clearing up of snacks
- Oversees the organisation of collecting children from classes
- Will join the school’s large safeguarding team as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Is a good team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school
- Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm

The successful candidate will have:
- GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or equivalent)
- NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Understanding of National Curriculum and the EYFS Framework
- An understanding of good quality childcare
