Housing/Support Worker

Alexandra House, Exmouth
37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
Fixed term contract until 31/03/2026
£24,680 per annum
Alexandra House has an exciting opportunity for a Housing/Support Worker to join the team. We are looking for someone who has a passion to work within a supported housing setting for vulnerable adults, who have a low to medium level of support need. You will provide high quality, one to one and group support to empower our residents with access to the best opportunities in life. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9-5 and does not include any personal care responsibilities.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting customers to develop individual support plans, by identifying strengths, goals and assessing barriers to reaching the overall goal of independence.
• Advising on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, financial and budgeting matters.
• Working closely with relevant statutory and third sector organisations, making sure customers are referred to appropriate agencies.
• Contributing to the development of personalised services to enable customers to choose and shape services to meet their individual needs and aspirations rather than fit into existing services.
• Taking a proactive approach to the prevention of anti-social behaviour, including effective partnership working.
• Ensuring that all online systems are updated and forms completed in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet the requirements of regulators.
