Location: Headingley Hall Care Home, 5 Shire Oak Road
Hours: 39 hours per week (3 x double shifts, 7:30am – 9:00pm)
Shift pattern: 3 days over 7
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all customers consistently receive care that is person-focused and promotes health and well-being.
- Lead by example in the delivery of support and care that promotes quality, respect, dignity, independence, and choice for every customer.
- Proactively identify and agree on opportunities to improve the support and care offered to meet the changing needs of new and existing customers, thereby exceeding their expectations.
- Qualified to administer medication.
- Contribute to the management of all aspects of the support and care provision to ensure a high-quality service is planned and delivered.
- Lead by example to ensure that all customers and employees are treated with equality, dignity, and respect and every individual feels they can challenge discrimination and harassment in employment practice and service provision.
- Ensure that face-to-face and telephone enquiries are dealt with in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
- Deliver and supervise care according to individual care plans and in line with the Quality Management System, training, and verbal instructions from the Care Manager.
- Assist in the cleanliness and general appearance of Headingley Hall while performing own tasks.
- Ensure health and safety of self and customers through best practice in all aspects of work and in line with Westward Care Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and to the required standard within agreed timeframes.
- Set and maintain standards of care in line with Westward Care Ltd’s vision, values and CQC standards; train teams and individuals accordingly.
- Gather feedback from customers and families and implement changes as required.
- Lead and inspire the team to continuously improve and adopt best practices in care.
- Contribute to supervision, recruitment, and development to maintain a full, stable, and competent team.
- Work effectively with team members to deliver care and ensure smooth operation of Headingley Hall.
- Promote customer-focused service and opportunities for continuous improvement in customer service and new services.
- Deliver care that supports independence, dignity, and choice for customers.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and communicate these to the Care Manager.
- Promote Westward Care services and facilities to customers and visitors.
