Westward Care are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join us based in Leeds on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. The successful Maintenance Operative will be responsible for:
- Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds, ensuring a safe, high-quality, hotel-standard environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, minimising disruption to care services and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and on time.
- Conduct and maintain records of statutory inspections, safety checks, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, sourcing approved products and services that deliver quality, reliability, and value for money.
- Identify and implement improvements to buildings, facilities, and grounds, supporting continuous improvement and enhancing the customer experience.
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager, colleagues, and stakeholders, providing updates on maintenance activities, prioritising urgent issues, and supporting operational planning.
- Support the organisation’s customer service, events, and operational objectives, ensuring facilities are well-presented, resources are managed effectively.
