The Role
To support WestSpring's continued growth, this role has been created to be a key part of the Sales & Marketing team. This is a hands‐on role with a broad range of responsibilities, working across several departments. You will take ownership of social media across multiple platforms, work with our external marketing partners, drive web/email/event campaigns, support internal activity/comms, and focus on measuring outcomes & results, rather than activity. You will work with our Client Services and Business Development teams, clients and strategic partners to grow the WestSpring brand across the South West, create conversion‐focused content, and deliver audience growth, pipeline contribution and lead generation.
Main Responsibilities
- Social Media
- Own and run day‐to‐day social media activity, supported by structured weekly and monthly plans.
- Keep channels active, on brand and professionally presented.
- Manage comments, direct messages and engagement with the right tone and responsiveness.
- Maintain profiles including bios, highlights, pinned posts and visuals.
- Own and manage the central marketing and content calendar.
- Align social content with wider campaigns, events and business priorities.
- Campaigns & Reporting
- Plan, track and report on a range of campaigns across social media, email, website, events and external marketing activity.
- Build and deliver campaigns using HubSpot workflows, audience segmentation and marketing automation to support strong conversion and ROI.
- Monitor and report on social, email and website performance, using insights to improve future activity.
- Ensure key dates and moments are executed effectively.
- Content
- Create marketing activity that supports lead generation, client engagement and sales opportunities.
- Create social media and website content including blogs, news articles and video, while supporting PR opportunities where relevant.
- Source, create and manage client case studies, testimonials and reviews across channels including Google, social media and the website.
- Support website content updates and improve search visibility through SEO best practice.
- Work with partners to support website optimisation, keyword planning, content planning and ongoing website updates.
- Create and manage campaign‐specific landing pages.
- Support the creation and maintenance of sales materials, including proposals, supporting documents and marketing collateral.
- Work collaboratively across the business to gather and deliver content ideas.
- Event Management & Support
- Manage and support a range of events including internal events, client and team socials, business networking activity, trade shows and our annual Golf Day.
- Support our Charity of the Year, lead engagement around Volunteering Days, and encourage wider team involvement in community activity.
- Everything Else
- Maintain good data hygiene across marketing and CRM platforms, helping to keep contact data accurate, organised and up to date.
- Support list management, contact segmentation and ongoing database housekeeping to improve campaign delivery and reporting.
- Work confidently with external suppliers, strategic partners, agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Provide general support across sales and marketing activity as needed.
- Support photography and videography where needed.
What we are looking for
- Experience creating marketing activity that supports lead generation, client engagement and sales opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering to deadlines.
- Ideally 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience using LinkedIn and other social media platforms in a professional context.
- A creative eye and enthusiasm for producing high‐quality content.
- Think commercially, with a focus on revenue and ROI rather than engagement alone.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Self‐starter who takes ownership, shows initiative and is accountable for delivering results.
- Strong creative instinct and understands what good, on‐brand content looks like.
- Keeps up to date with social media trends, platform developments and content formats.
- Thrives in a fast‐paced environment.
