If you want to work in a vibrant fast-paced environment that breaks the mould of usual IT providers, this could be the role for you. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced New Business / Business Development Executives from an IT MSP, SaaS, or similar B2B environment, to play a vital part in the continued growth of a very reputable MSP through the acquisition of new clients. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be a self-motivated, ambitious, approachable and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for New Business / Client Business Development.

With excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering outstanding results, you will be responsible for generating, qualifying, engaging, and converting new client opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building to deliver high value, recurring revenues and margin. This is a service-focused, consultative sales role, centred on selling WestSpring's IT Managed Services, Security & Cyber Solutions, Cloud Services, Connectivity, and Hosted Voice solutions. This is a win & hand-over sales role, not account management or order taking, so you must be comfortable picking up the phone, networking, using LinkedIn, etc. to identify new prospective clients, and then managing the sales journey, before pitching and closing high-value solutions while ensuring a fantastic client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation
  • Conduct proactive cold outreach including calls, emails, LinkedIn, attending networking events, etc.
  • Build and maintain ideal client prospect lists and accurately track activity in HubSpot / CRM
  • Use a range of tools to identify key decision makers
  • Capture and track contract renewal dates for target prospects
  • Follow up on inbound leads & enquiries
  • Meetings & Pipeline Development
    • Book and attend introductory client meetings
    • Understand client requirements, needs & preferences, to provide appropriate IT support solutions
    • Drive, manage and grow pipeline through strategic planning and execution
    • Maintain an accurate pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services after client onboarding
    • Work with Technical teams to scope appropriate service-focused solutions
  • Networking & Brand Positioning
    • Represent WestSpring at local business networks, professional groups, and events
    • Sharing the WestSpring way to generate high value, ideal client leads
    • Build strong local relationships within a 1-1.5 hour radius of Bristol
  • Sales Execution
    • Pitch and present WestSpring's IT Managed Services, Security & Cyber Solutions, Cloud Services, Connectivity, and Hosted Voice value propositions
    • Develop tailored proposals that encompass the customers needs and objectives
    • Work with Sales Director to close consultative, value-led deals
    • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Meet and exceed new client, revenue, & profit targets
    • Deliver against performance KPIs
    • Prepare and present regular weekly reports on performance metrics
    • Build, manage and report on a strong pipeline of opportunities
    • Maintain high-quality CRM records
  • Collaboration
    • Work with Onboarding, Technical, & Operations teams to deliver the highest quality of onboarding, hand-over, and seamless delivery of high-quality service
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive success

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 2+ years in IT services or MSP-led sales, or similar environment
    • Evidence of successful prospecting activity including networking, cold-calling, establishing & maintaining relationships, warming leads, etc.
    • Professional, driven and ambitious with a friendly, positive, client-first approach, and the ability to perform well under pressure
    • Track record of delivering annual recurring revenue (ARR) targets
    • Ability to understand and articulate managed services value propositions
    • Familiarity with service-led selling, not product pushing, in a B2B sales cycle
    • Consultative sales approach with exposure to structured methodologies
    • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders (FD/COO/MD level)
    • Intelligent, curious and a fast learner with a growth mindset
    • Credible and trustworthy with both customers and colleagues
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders in a professional, consistent manner
