An exciting five session opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and friendly salaried GP to join our expanding, forward thinking team of Doctors and Allied Health Professionals including First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists & pharmacy technicians, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners.
Westrop Medical Practice welcomes and supports newly qualified GPs by offering them a GP mentor and a reduced number of appointments when they start. We are a training practice for GPs, nurses, and nurse associates. We are incredibly supportive of staff who wish to do additional training, develop a special interest, or have a portfolio career.
Main duties of the job- A team of Paramedics to help with home visits
- A team of Pharmacist Technicians to handle discharge summaries
- Clinical Pharmacists to help manage repeat prescriptions
- A highly experienced admin support team who code and file letters, so GPs only see the letters they need to see
- Operation managers at each site
- Many allied healthcare professionals to share our workload
We have a GP structure with 4 tiers to offer GPs career progression and the chance to take on other roles in the practice for higher rates of pay.

Westrop Medical Practice serves a population of over 48,000 at 6 sites located in Highworth, Moredon, North Swindon, Old Town, Tadpole Garden Village and Blunsdon. Westrop Medical Practice's mission is to be a national exemplar for primary care provision. We work closely with our practice teams to support, develop, and transform patient care and improve processes in the practices with innovation and technology at the heart of what we do. We also play a highly active role in discussions at an ICA and ICs level.
Westrop Medical Practice are members of the Brunel Health Group. Brunel is a group of 14 independent surgeries, who work closely together to offer services. As a group we provide care to 180,000 patients and we are the largest primary care research group across the Southwest of England.
