Westrop Medical Practice is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our clinical team and undertake autonomous clinics as part of the GP rota. Westrop is a large, multi-site GP partnership serving approximately 49,000 patients across six sites in North Swindon. Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, physiotherapists and care navigators working together to manage both same-day demand and ongoing care for our patients.
This role is suited to a confident ACP who is comfortable managing undifferentiated presentations, making independent clinical decisions and contributing to the day-to-day management of acute and routine GP workload. The successful candidate will run their own clinics within the GP rota, assessing, diagnosing and managing patients, arranging investigations, prescribing where appropriate and coordinating care with the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will be supported by an experienced clinical team and allocated a GP mentor, ensuring you have consistent clinical support, opportunities for discussion and ongoing professional development. While the role requires a high degree of autonomy, Westrop prides itself on maintaining a collaborative and supportive clinical culture where colleagues are always available to discuss complex cases. Main duties of the job:
- The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will undertake autonomous clinical assessment and management of patients as part of the GP rota, working across Westrop Medical Practice sites as required.
- The role will include assessing and managing patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions, undertaking clinical examinations, formulating differential diagnoses and implementing appropriate management plans.
