Overview
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our Whitehaven site.
We are on the lookout for an electrician to join our team of engineers.
The successful candidate will safely execute planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner.
Comply to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to engineering and maintenance.
Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe execution of planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner.
- Comply to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to maintenance and machine setting.
- Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time)
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards and a clean as you go policy.
- Setting and calibration of machine tooling ready for production in a safe and timely manner.
- Liaising with production operators to find root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
- Being the first point of contact for all machinery break downs on your assigned shift.
- Developing cross functional skills (mechanical and electrical)
Qualifications
- BS7671 IET Wiring Regs (training to 18th Edition)
- City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection and Testing
- Electricity at Work Regs
- Safe isolation training
- HEALTH & SAFETY
