Job Purpose

To ensure comprehensive and robust support to production ensuring all kit is provided accurately and timely to the printing presses to allow the production process to run efficiently in accordance with the Production Plan. Kit includes plates, tooling, inks and assisting printers in swift changeover of jobs in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 & PS9000 2011 and the company’s best practice quality procedures to prevent downtime and to ensure that the shift is run efficiently and to maximum production levels.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and WestRock would expect you to carry out any other reasonable duty which you can perform.

Key Accountabilities

  • To provide first class support to production, fulfilling all pre-make ready responsibilities to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring all material components are in stock and available and the job kit is presented to production in a timely and accurate manner prior to jobs coming onto press.
  • Ensure any issues or concerns regarding the kitting for jobs are flagged appropriately.
  • To adhere to Health & Safety standards and best practice.
  • To maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • To be a flexible team member and assist in other ad hoc duties to ensure the function operates efficiently and effectively.

Health and Safety

  • To work in a safe manner adhering to laid down health and safety procedures.
  • To keep work area clean tidy ensuring that the highest standards of housekeeping are always maintained.
  • To report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to management.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of good team working & communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to high quality standards.
  • Demonstrable evidence of good housekeeping practices.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to high quality standards, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to take responsibility for output and quality of materials produced.
  • Health and safety awareness.

Working Hours

3x 12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights. Days: 5.30am till 5.30pm. Nights: 5.30pm till 5.30pm.

  • Good level of verbal reasoning and numerical skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining focus and attention to detail.
