Our client is a recognised leader within their industry, supplying high‑quality engineered products to customers across a range of sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Labourer/FLT Operative to join their Production Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to join a busy production environment offering long‑term career prospects.

The Role

As a Labourer/FLT Operative within the Production Department, you will play a key role in supporting the production process and ensuring products are prepared, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently.

Your duties will include

  • Assisting with the preparation and movement of products through the coating process.
  • Loading, unloading and transporting materials using a Fork Lift Truck.
  • Packing finished products to the required standard, ensuring they are protected for storage and transportation.
  • Preparing customer orders for dispatch, including checking quantities, labelling and ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Supporting colleagues across the production team to meet operational requirements.
  • Following all health & safety procedures and maintaining high quality standards at all times.

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • A valid FLT licence (essential) – inhouse and expired are also accepted
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a busy production environment.
  • A strong awareness of health and safety within an industrial setting.
