Technical Area Sales Manager Opportunity in the Turf sector for candidates living in North East Scotland, Tayside, Highland, or Grampian. This role is suitable for Greenkeepers, Heads of Grounds, and Course Managers looking to transition into a full-time commercial position.
This field sales role will involve significant account management alongside targeting new sales. My client welcomes both candidates with proven commercial experience and those from a practical background seeking to move into a commercial role.

The Business
My client is a market leader in the Agricultural and Sporting retail industries. They are looking for a driven and technically minded turf professional with a passion for sports surface management. Candidates should have an understanding of turf products, soil health, and fine turf.
The Role
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with Greenkeepers, Course Managers, grounds teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Drive sales and revenue growth across your territory by leveraging a broad and diverse market-leading product portfolio.
- Provide agronomic support and technical advice to help customers maximise the benefits of our products and solutions.
- Work independently and proactively to identify opportunities, influence decision-makers, and close business.
- Contribute to new product development by providing market insight and feedback to R&D and marketing teams.
- Play a key role in developing and delivering marketing strategies tailored to your region’s needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer success and company growth.
The Person
- Proven experience in a technical role within the golf or fine turf sector, either practically or commercially.
- Strong technical understanding of the golf market, including turf products, soil health, nutrition, and/or plant protection.
- A natural relationship-builder with excellent communication skills, able to connect with customers at all levels.
- Self-motivated and an independent thinker, with the initiative and ambition to drive results.
