This unique and newly created position is to operate as a Quality Assurance professional within an excellent manufacturing environment. The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring that all paint and coating products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves testing raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products, as well as supporting compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Permanent position from day one, Monday to Friday working hours. All technology provided, phone, laptop etc. 20 days leave + Bank holidays, rising by 1 each year of service.
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished paint products.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and quality standards are maintained.
- Accurately record test data and maintain quality documentation.
- Assist in handling complaints, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external standards (e.g., calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment).
- Work closely with production, R&D, and warehouse teams to resolve quality issues.
Background in chemistry, materials science, or a related field. Understanding of quality control and assurance principles. Basic IT skills (data entry, spreadsheets, lab systems). Experience in paint, coatings, or chemical manufacturing. Familiarity with testing instruments. Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001. Experience in Microsoft D365.
