THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a time served LCV Technician to join our client in Gateshead who is a renowned North East company that specialise in both LCV and HGV. They have been going strong for over 50 years starting as a family business. They are seeking a time-served technician to be part of an ambitious team and work within a busy department.
The client is a representative of one of the most recognised global motor brands and have a state of the art brand new premises. This is an exciting time to join them.
THE ROLE
- To diagnose faults and repair the vehicles across the entire range.
- To service vehicles according to the manufacturers schedule.
- To diagnose and repair faults using the technology (Star) and all available workshop information systems.
- To fit accessories to vehicles.
- To carry out final inspections and function tests on all work that requires it.
- To identify warranty items and ensure that parts are labelled correctly and placed in the designated area.
- To obtain parts from the parts department ensuring paperwork is completed accurately.
- Support the development of any trainees and apprentices.
- Ensure that the workshop facilities, equipment and tools are kept clean, tidy and maintained.
THE PERSON
- You will be time-served technician with at least 5 years’ experience.
- You will have at minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification within automotive engineering.
- You will have you own hand tools; and specialist/other power tools are available on site.
- You will demonstrate commitment, be punctual and display a professional attitude.
- You need a full UK driving licence for this role.
- You will display an excellent attitude and have great communication skills.
