Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer:
~ Permanent role
~Potential opportunity of Hybrid working or Remote working for the field service engineer depending on their location, and this position may have the benefit of car allowance.

Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our client who are a reputable electrical and automation engineering firm operating in the marine, renewable energy, and offshore energy sectors. Based in Teesside, the company offers engineering, construction, and installation services to clients around the world. We are seeking skilled Marine Electrical Field Service Engineers to join a growing team in marine and offshore services.
Diagnosing issues, repairing (down to the component level), servicing, and testing all types of main and auxiliary equipment, from the engine room to the bridge. This includes high power generation, distribution, switchgear, and propulsion, as well as instrumentation, automation, and navigation systems.
Managing the procurement of spare parts and planning and scheduling service work.
Conducting planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofits.
Commissioning and activating new and upgraded systems.
Implementing modifications to existing installations.
Working closely with our electrical and control systems design team to plan, design, and deliver both new and retrofit solutions for marine propulsion, auxiliary systems, offshore production, and construction equipment.
Providing training and mentoring to other staff members.
The ideal candidates will likely have experience working at sea in an Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) role and preferably possess a degree or equivalent qualification. They should have extensive experience in diagnosing faults, servicing, repairing, retrofitting, and commissioning all types of electrical, automation, and navigation systems on ships.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a commitment to excellent customer service, are essential.
Proficiency in IT, along with effective planning and organizational abilities, is also required.
A valid UK driving license is necessary, as the ability to operate company vehicles is part of the role.
