Following recent investment in new plant machinery and facility upgrades, they are now seeking to expand their team within a clean, modern, and supportive working environment.
THE ROLE
Produce a wide range of precision parts from billets, fabrications, castings, and forgings.
Set, program, and operate key high-capacity machinery including: - Ward Hyundai Wia KBN135-CL (2m x 1.8m table, 4m x 2m x 2m travel, 15-tonne table capacity, Fanuc CNC Control, 90° angled/orthogonal/facing heads, B-axis table 0.001°, ATC).
- Hartford PBM135C boring and milling machine (3000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm, 15-tonne table loading, FANUC 31i MB CNC control system).
- Set one-off jobs efficiently and accurately.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Carry out precise manual measurements for dimensions and surface finishes to ensure strict quality standards.
- Maintain a careful approach to quality and take responsibility for high-value customer components.
- THE PERSON
- Time-served via a recognised Machine Shop apprenticeship.
- Proven experience operating milling machines or horizontal borers.
- Strong CNC programming skills (FANUC control experience is essential).
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using manual measurement equipment.
