We are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator for a temporary 3‑month contract based at a warehouse facility in Killingworth. The role involves carrying out high‑quality painting and decorating work across industrial spaces, including walkways, rooms, and ceilings, ensuring a safe, clean, and professional finish throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of surfaces including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming
  • Painting of internal warehouse areas including walkways, operational rooms, and ceilings
  • Applying coatings suitable for industrial environments (e.g. durable floor/walkway markings, anti‑slip where required)
  • Ensuring all work meets health and safety standards, particularly in an active warehouse setting
  • Masking and protecting surrounding areas, fixtures, and equipment
  • Working efficiently to meet project timelines and deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times
  • Reporting progress and any issues to the site supervisor

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within industrial or commercial settings
  • Experience working in warehouses or large‑scale environments preferred
  • Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial‑grade paints/coatings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and quality of finish
  • Understanding of health & safety practices on site
