The Role
As a Packer / Baler Operative, you will play an important part in the day‑to‑day production and dispatch process. You will be responsible for packing finished goods into boxes, ensuring items are ready for shipment and helping to keep the working area clean, safe and organised.
- Pack goods into boxes ready for shipment
- Ensure products are packed correctly, safely and to the required standard
- Quality check items for any defects or damage
- Label, organise and prepare packed goods for dispatch
- Use the baling machine to dispose of excess cardboard safely
- Break down and manage cardboard waste in the production area
- Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving stock
- Keep your workstation clean, tidy and safe
- Complete basic paperwork where required
- Support the wider production and warehouse team when needed

- Have previous packing, production, warehouse or manufacturing experience, although full training will be provided
- Suitable experience includes roles as a Packer, Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Dispatch Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Recycling Operative or General Operative
