THE BUSINESS
Temp to Perm opportunity with an esteemed North East business. You will be working for a Benton based production company that specialises in providing services to major household brands and national companies. The company is growing and actively recruiting, offering guaranteed shifts, permanent contracts and new hires over the next few months. You will be trained on the day shift and then allocated a shift, progressing to day, twilight and night shifts. Our client has over 40 years in the industry, is a regional leader and an innovator in their field. They are passionate about environmental impact and have invested in new technologies to reduce their carbon footprint. As a result, we can provide a long‑term employment opportunity for a picker/packer. Working at the Benton site you will be part of a great team delivering high service levels in a fast‑paced environment.
THE ROLE
- Picking items off the production line
- Checking quality of items on the production line
- Ensuring the machine is clear and running correctly
- Placing items from the production line into crates, wrapping, palletising and placing in the correct location for dispatch
- Following company processes and procedures at all times, keeping in line with current Health & Safety policies
- Carrying out manual handling of goods
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping where necessary
- Working as part of a team focused on achieving the business’ goals
