The Business
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an FLT driver for our client based in Tanfield Lea. Our client is a nationwide manufacturer who have been operating since 2016. The business supplies to the packaging supply chain and are making over 300 million units. They are a forward-thinking, family owned business who are constantly innovating and aiming to be a market leader in the industry. The organisation provides a strong network of training and support. They will work with you to develop your skill set and competency.
The Role
- Picking and packing goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Physical activity including lifting and handling stock
- Picking stock off shelves from a picking sheet
- Putting stock away onto shelves using a put away sheet
- Loading and unloading of stock using a FLT Counterbalance
- It would be beneficial to hold a Flexi licence
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
- To work within company Health and Safety Rules
- To assist and adhere to BRC standards
- When working Goods In: Receipting and inspecting deliveries
- Following all processes to ensure traceability of all materials filling in all appropriate paperwork in a timely manner
- Stacking and storing materials in designated areas and when required unpacking and preparing for production
- When working Finished Goods: Assembling, sealing, labelling, stacking, and organising cartons of finished goods
- Loading vehicles in a way as to not jeopardise the quality of the finished product
- Bailing skeletal, recording the weights and storing in designated space in the warehouse
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
The Person
- You will be physically fit, have the ability to lift and handle stock
- Experience packing in a manufacturing environment
- Flexible to undertake additional duties such as Warehousing or Quality disciplines
