THE BUSINESS
Our client is a world class manufacturing/engineering business with an ever-growing presence throughout the UK. They take pride in crafting exceptional doors, door sets, and screens that seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality.
THE ROLE
- Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut, shape, and finish materials
- Load raw materials onto the machine bed and secure them properly
- Input, edit, and adjust CNC programs as required
- Select and change cutting tools, bits, and attachments
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Troubleshoot minor machine faults and report major issues to maintenance
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
THE PERSON
- Proven experience operating CNC router machines within a woodworking or joinery environment
- Experience working with timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, and composite boards
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and loading/editing CNC programs
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and cutting lists
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production deadlines
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads
