WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

- GBP29,000 pa circa 39 hour week equating to GBP14.30 per hour
- Quarterly Bonus Scheme averaging GBP500-GBP2,000 per quarter
- Monday to Friday work
- Hours Mon/Tue/Wed 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm & Thu/Fri 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
- Overtime available but not compulsory

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Welder/Fabricator to work for our client based in Ashington. Our client supports a wide array of sectors and due to unprecedented growth and company development, they are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
The organisation has a current turnover of GBP5M and this is set to rise through a combination of market forces, reputation and future strategic plans. The organisation has a long-standing history and the business can provide stability, yet the opportunity to be part of a growth journey.
THE ROLE
- You will be able to mig weld mild steel and stainless steel
- You will be able to tig weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- You will be required to use guillotine, bending machine, pedestal drills and grinders
- You will be able to measure and cut accurately
- You will be required to read and interpret drawings
- You will ensure that welding machines are operated using safe working practices
- Communication and team work skills are essential to this role and you will be able to demonstrate these
- As part of the Recruitment process applicants will be required to complete a weld test
THE PERSON
- You will ideally have at least 3 years TIG Welding, MIG Welding and fabrication experience
- Detail orientated with excellent problem-solving skills
- A comprehensive understanding of, and commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety in the workplace
- All employees must hold a valid UK driving licence, will be over 21 years old and subject to reference checks
